Cheers mate. That type of chill place looks to be the way to go. Should be able to chuck it in the bottom of the eski, and still fill the rest of it with cans (and a little food) rather than getting a second eski.

Yes that is correct. To get temps lower than the factory thermostat allows, you would need to fit the fridgemate in place of the original thermostat. It would probably be easier and better to use a freezer with a fridgemate.
Im sure there will be people that do not agree with me....But instead of a hydrometer to see if brewing is finished, i used to just push down on the fermentor to expel gas untill the water in the airlock neutralised and was the same in both sections....And then if the water had pushed back to...
