I've used it for a fews years on the desktop and find it really handy. keep a history of my brews. helps with recipe formation. and the inbuilt tools are good too. Support is ok as well. I haven't used the other brew apps.

I find flowers, a few nice words and doing some chores around the house helps a lot.

A very rough guide to lager making process is: BIAB pitch two packets of s-189 at 18c for 21litres tempmate controlled ferment at 12c for two weeks. Lager time was only 2 weeks, so it was very young. And i think since i didnt use whirloc this time ( i ran out) and i didnt gelatine it tasted...

How hard is it to brew a great lager compared to a great ale? To me the lager seems harder. Just started brewing largers and difficult. I really want to brew a nice malty lager as a dependible house brew but the first few have been ok but not great. Lagering time, less flavour to hide...

Thanks for the responses. I plan to keg and carb, then pour a glass and add extra apple juice to the glass and work out the ratio that i am happy with. Then top up the keg to the same ratio. Seems relatively simple.

Surely one of the cidar fans has tried adding extra apple juice to the keg to sweeten it up and make it less dry. Any tips? Dont tell me i will have break new here. I cant see any problem with doing this as my serving temp is 7c or 8c, so it wont start fermenting again.
