Hi All, Here is a picture of a new batch that I have just put into the fermenter last night. It was getting late, Australia was getting flogged in the cricket, so I haven't had a chance to pitch the yeast until now. Except it looks strange.....does this look normal or do I have a problem?

Ok, so what temp do I need to get the fridge up to? And to continue the stupidity....is that why my Tripple has more fizz than the APA? I've just started using the freezer so you are going to have to excuse my mistakes.....

One batch I bottled 4 weeks ago (Begium Tripple), the other 3 (APA). I've had them in the freezer (set at 7degrees) since bottling. I used two drops per 750ml and one per 300ml.

So the maths sounds about right, but is this a lot of water to be topping up with? Won't this dilute the beer a long way? And also a nother noob question.....should I not be pouring the entire contents of the kettle into the fermenter? Appreciate your feedback and help.

Thanks for the advice, will get him to have another look. I plugged it into the radio and although I can hear it 'click' when it isn't to the correct temperature nothing turns on. Will get the FIL to check it again, although I have a brew afternoon planned (which is another post)!

Hi All, I have a Trippel receipie that calls for 1kg of Candi Sugar. I can only find Candi Syrup available from my home brew store, would this be equal to 1lt of Candi Syrup? Thanks Kanetoad
