Thats exactly how i do my coppers lager yum beer, best tasting beer ive ever had and shyts over some full grains ive tasted!. Like you say, very crisp and clean tasting, almost bubbly texture!.

Thats very true about the thermal mass and fermenting generating heat. Its out in the shed so alot colder than the house, maybe we could say down to 10c as a round figure?. I used to do that with my bottles to but have had some trouble with the last couple of batches so i want to clean...

Thanks Wolfy, Thanks bum, no typo unfortunatly lol, its been getting down to 2c in melbourne!, but i just averaged it out to 6c. The white scummy stuff is like the slight scum bubbles i get on any brew but 10 times worse. I ll try post a pic tommorrow. Cheers for the advice fellas.

Hey all, been ages since ive been on here, got sick of washing bottles and havnt been brewing haha. I put a tooheys lager with 50/50 LDM, dex, down 21 days ago and its gone down to 1014. I opened the lid for a looksie and theres scumy white stuff on the top, looks like the yeast hasnt passed...

I third the tooheys kit, did one a few months ago and have to say i thought it was bath tub water!!. Im not going to waist 3 free brews though, it can be the visitor/ beer scab drink haha.

Got given all this from the boss the other night, he's given up brewing. Win for me haha.

Well well well never knew that about draught, dirty rotten sceemers :angry: . Thanks for the info fella's. Tnkas argon, the fg is stable over 3-4 days, dont have room to cold crash it. Will bottle it today.

G'day all, put a coopers draught with brewers #2 down last week. Its been sitting between 16-22c but noticed the last 2 days its been on about 14-16c. the fg is stable at 1007-1008 and looks very quiet. Ive done this brew twice now and its been beautiful. I noticed it looks alot darker this...

G'day all, i tasted a lager lastnight that i bottled around 10 days ago. Its a baccas and barley lager with 50/50 lme;dex. I know its a bit young still but it was very malty, will this dissaper in time?. Cheers Greg

I did a coopers draught about a month ago with 50/50 light malt extract/dextros and its very yummy. Cheers Greg
