    Which Mill To Buy...

No. Not unless you have a very accurate lathe as if you were to slightly mis-sahpe the shaft you may as well chuck the whole roller away.

    Temperature Control

Bribie, be careful with those infra red thermometers. I've been using a $300 Raytech unit that has served me well for the past 3 years - with exception to my last 7 ales. I would use it to read a scoop of mash from the bottom of the tun and when I started to get some strange results, like final...

How Often Do You Break Your Hydrometers?

I'm on my third one. Broke two within a batch of each other about two years ago, but had a good run since. It was lucky that I started with three of them but I don't have a spare anymore either

I Hate My Crown Urn Sometimes.

I have used an exposed element Birco for about 100 brews now as the kettle and the best cleaner I have come across to keep the element nice is to make sure it gets a hit of PBW at the end of each brew day (which could be up to three brews) and then about once every 10 brews I spray the inside...

    Quick Fermenting, Tasty Beer Sugestions?

I can ferment up to four beers at a time (at a stretch). I was hoping to do a German Pilsner for the bbq but that is out the window considering the time. And I keg and force carb. I've got a Sierra Nevada clone that will be ready to keg around Tuesday / Wednesday next week, but that really needs...

    Quick Fermenting, Tasty Beer Sugestions?

I hadn't even thought of an American Wheat - sweet, thanks for that as it's been a couple of years since I punched one out but I do recall it was tasty.

    Quick Fermenting, Tasty Beer Sugestions?

Hi Guys, So I thought I had a couple of weeks to get a beer or three ready for a BBQ but as it turns out it is on Saturday 3rd September - so I have 9 days to brew, ferment and carb a couple of beers. Any sugestions for some decent Ale recipes that are OK with zero time to age?

    Stainless 1" Bsp Rims Element

No - the element is designed to be fitted on the inside of a "kettle" so when it comes to a tri-clover fitting it needs to be fitted to the outside (I can provide photos if you would like further clarification). Drilling and welding were free. I could have and should have done them myself...

    Stainless 1" Bsp Rims Element

I buy another one and attach another 5.50 tri-clove blank to it... no biggie there really...

    Stainless 1" Bsp Rims Element

I've got one of the Brewershardware.com RIMS tubes too and I took a slightly different approach. I had a tri clover blank cap drilled and had the cartridge element from Ross welded to it: Does the trick nicely
