Whats A Good Wheat Beer To Try?

I read that traditionally, when serving these wheat beers, often they're rolled to mix up the yeast. Do you guys 'roll' your homebrew bottles atleast for weizens/wits?

    Got Bad Gas

Are you using a Lager or ale yeast? Ale yeast can't break down raffinose, a trisaccharide which is a main source of farts when the bacteria in your guts breaks it down. Lager yeast will give it go, perhaps thats why lagers often smell like a fart when fermenting.

Have acquired a 440 litre fridge and I'm thinking of buying a temperature controller. Getting Started

I think I might go down and get one of those coopers setups myself - top value when you add it up even without the $20 off. New2brew, i think citymorgue is talking about the little wooden handcappers that you take a hammer to, not your high tech number.

Bought two cans of this at coles as on special at the moment, so I thought I'd try my first toucan. I'm thinking I bought the wrong kit for the purpose, tasted pretty bitter once I mixed it up. Added 500 grams dextrose for a 23 litre batch and using s-05 yeast. Had a look at various threads...

    Boil Or Not To Boil

I'm no expert, but Could you just get a big 25 litre stock pot and boil up the whole lot i.e. ingredients and water? However you would need some way of cooling it quickly..
