    500ml Bottles f/s - Sunnybank, Brisbane

Hey All, I get most people on here probably keg and so do I...now :). However I know people are into aging big beers so these may still be of interest to some. So I'm selling all my bottles and storage containers. The bottles are all the German style 500ml bottles all of similar size. I...

Adding additional hoppy goodness (no chill)

I still bottle, so unless I put one hop pellet per bottle...ha ha. Ok, point taken on the dry hopping will ramp this up to may be 45g/45g Galaxy/Mosaic.

Adding additional hoppy goodness (no chill)

I do treat my water, I bring the PH down to around 5.4 (so hard to get this exact) and add about 6g of Gypsum. So I was always of the impression that dry hopping is for aroma (on the nose) rather than actually adding additional flavour to the beer?

Adding additional hoppy goodness (no chill)

Howdy all, I've been brewing an American Pale Ale for a while now (up to about version 15). It incorporates two of my favourite hops Galaxy and Mosaic. My pallet has somewhat changed over the past year and it now desires additional hop flavour in my beers which unfortunately my current hop...

    Psycho with Citra

Are you saying 100g's is sane or insane? Have only just started upping my hop quantities to try and get more hoppy goodness coming through.

    Psycho with Citra

Hello Fellow brewers, One of my last creations was a Citra PA which is currently sitting in a 21.5 litre cube waiting to be fermented. While reading different recipes and articles I have come across the advice that you shouldn't use too much Citra otherwise you start getting garlic flavours...

    Temp Control in Brisbane Winter

My ferment freezer is in a non insulated shed outside, so over those cold couple months we have :D I have a heat belt on mine. Don't necessarily even have to have it wrapped around the fermenter, just having it inside the freezer/fridge should be enough.

Tweak to Dr Smurto's Golden Ale

Howdy all, I'm fairly new to all grain brewing, have had a few decent beers and a few not so decent beers as well as a few surprises. I brewed DS's Golden Ale but I think my local HBS may have messed up the grain bill as the beer came out darker and had a slight malty flavour. Second time I...

    1026 British Cask Ale

Hey All, Put a brew down Sat morning using this yeast. I was a little surprised when I smacked the pack and left it for about an hour that it didn't swell at all. So its now been a few days and theres no action in the fermenter, this is my first time using this yeast so I have nothing to...
