Hey all,

Planning on a 25 litre Corona AG this weekend and am unable to find anywhere to buy galena at the moment.

Anyone willing to sell say 200g of galena? That would be awesome

Thanks!

200g would be enough for 10 to 12 Corona Brews - you must like your Mexicans :p

If you get your skates on and send me an overnight baggy thing I'll send you 60g gratis, should squeeze it through before the weekend. I've got enough Galena to see me out ;)

PM if interested

FYI Galena is not used in Corona - It contains no actual hops, just Isohop (or similar).
Galena is one of the main hops grown for Isohop production & that is where the confusion comes from.

You can use any neutral bittering hop to approx 17ibu.

cheers Ross

Very good information.

In your opinion, what is the most neutral bittering hop?

Magnum?

Cheers.

We use Magnum :) in our Corona clone.

Have used Magnum a couple of times as a bittering addition and was amazed at how clean it was. I haven't tried Perle and a few others that I thought may be as smooth and clean but it's good to know you recommend Magnum as a top pick. :)
