Hey All

Moved onto kegs and all I need now is a CO2 cylinder, so I have 2 questions

1. Does anyone have a cylinder to sell 2nd hand in Brisbane area? (I know unlikely)

2. Do you know of a good place to buy them in Brisbane?

Depends if ya wanna save money now or later....

renting off BOC or similar is cheaper over the first year,
(unless you are friendly with a fire extinguisher place).
Savings from buying one takes a few years.

$12.51 per month up here from boc ~ $150 per year, $43 up front first bottle D-Size ~9kg.
minimum price off EvilBay would be $168~ for 2.6kg + postage.

You could check evilBay for keg king branded ones,
some people have had trouble getting them filled,
e.g. usually exchanged for the less durable imo alloy ones,
or even refusal - some brewshops listed on keg king site are no longer
honoring the arrangement.
So check with your brewshop first prbly.

D size -9 to 10kg- is quite a bit of gas for starting out,
air up etc claim at least 18 kegs from 2.3kg....

Thanks 501 - Im fairly keen on buying the bottle outright so I guess I'll check out evil bay and some ofm my local brewshops

or try a paintball canister
about 50$ with 5$ refills
gets you 20 fl oz (550 GM)
need a sodastream converter fitting too

Dont use BOC....bunch of c....

Try ebay. I picked up a 2.6kg bottle for $150 ($20 delivery and $30 to swap over) It was a keg king cylinder so i have a local HBS that can swap them for me.

Only advice i can give is if you have someone local that can fill or swap for you. Usually a fire extinguisher service place can fill.

Other places are normally the Brew on Premise places as well - not sure if you have any near you but they usually do exchange or fill
