Wine Barrels

Looking to do some barrel aged sours.
Wonder if anyone knows where to find the used 100L wine barrels in Melbourne?

Contact some wineries, 220 litre a more common size over here in NZ. Normally 190 NZ dollars that size. Not seen any smaller ones though.

Whiskey Barrels

Not sure if there are many 100L barrels available. Most that are used by wineries etc seem to be larger than that.

Realise this is an old thread but 100 ltr barrels basically do not exist. they are the size we use and had to get made from ground down staves of bigger barrels. Bloody exy though, $700 each

there are 100L barrels made, lots of small traditional Greek wine makers use them
They're also used for tawny etc
But in saying that, you'll RARELY see them for sale unless they've come from a distillery
