where did my beer go?

Ok two weeks ago I was drinking a pale ale with a nice fresh hop flavour and aroma, tried the beer tonight and seemed sweet and like the hops had dropped out of the beer.The beer is approximately two months old and in a keg.

How long does your pale ale stay fresh?
Could this be a palate issue , i.e what was eaten or drunk before having the beer?
Don't believe its oxygenated as I purge the heck out of the keg.

Old hops maybe ?

Hop aroma can certainly drop relatively quickly - not through any fault, it's just pretty volatile.
