I spent days cleaning up all the patch leads at my previous employer... And it was only a single rack... that would take weeks to clean up!
What amazes me most is that crosstalk doesn't seem to be an issue.
That's not patching, it's modern electronic cabling art! :icon_cheers:Actually crosstalk is greatly reduced when you randomly cross the patch leads. It actually starts to become an issue when you lay the cables nice and flat, neatly bunched next to each other. One of my industry blurbs pointed out that randomly laying cables in the cable tray reduced crosstalk.
One of the first things ( many beers ago ) was to always transpose cable pairs on long runs to avoid crosstalk
