I've broken my arm, so can't lift my fermenters, kettle, HLT, etc. :(

No brewing for me for a while.... anyone else have a good excuse for not brewing ATM?

(even better - anyone want to come around and lend me a hand, er, arm?! :p )

Yep.

11 Year old daughter is competing to represent her state for the 2nd year in Nat. Taekwondo Championships. This involves about 5-6 days per week of training (mainly weekends). Nationals are the 2nd last weekend of September. :)

She's a 2nd Dan black belt. Dedicated as buggery. It will be a relief when she gets her driver's licence in 7 years.

So that's me out for brewing (maybe) until at least the 1st weekend of October.

FWIW I wouldn't trade it for the world. :)

Warren -

I have no excuse for not brewing, that's why I have five batches in bottles, two in secondary, two in primary and one wort cube. And a starter going for my next brew too.

I went up to my local hbs for grain a couple of weeks ago & got told my custom was no longer welcome  apparently they are not happy with the success of my new business venture.
Their loss, as yesterday 3 pallets of grain arrived, including all the specialty grains that they told me wern't available anywhere - so my empty fermenters will soon be full again

cheers Ross

P.S. grain details on site shortly.

My excuse is waiting for grain shipments to turn up....

But it seems that they have arrived so I an finally place an order..

Bring it on.... :super:

Too bad mate,
I know the feeling as I have had ongoing back problems for quite a while now and it sucks not being able to brew.

So their idea of competing with this new venture is to turn customers away? Sometimes I wonder about people.

A case of sour grapes?

Maybe they are going into the wine industry.

No excuses at the moment. However after bottles the brew that's conditioning, I may have a minor bottle shortage. Just have to force myself to finish off the stout before it get much warmer.

Been surfing ( or trying to ! ), and trying to make my own board. Not enough time. Will be makin up for that soon, and making at least 2 bitters back to back, and i'll even fill up my bottles, which i havent done for at least 12 months, so i dont get caught out again.

I've run out of bottles, but already have 2 batches lagering ready to go when enough bottles are free! :(

I've put the call out to all my friends to keep their brown bottles, regardless of size or shape :)

Moving interstate. No grain so to speak of and will not bother ordering another bulk lot so its buying beer only atm. :(
It hurts.

Cheers

oooh, as of right now, i have a hangover calculated for tomorrow morning. i also have a brew planned, so we will see which one wins. i was planning an early start too....

The two best hangover solutions are Berocca, and to keep drinking to level things out...

...

hang on, I've just had a REVELATION!

 Beerocca! It can't be that bad, I've seen a crazy nutter put a Berocca in a Red Bull.

Jeez Ross, surely your business based mainly on hops, some yeast, and a few pieces of (INNOVATIVE) specialised brewing equipment isnt affecting their Kits/bits and grain business??

Why don't you start selling kits and grain, and put the bastards out of business altogether.

Let them feel the full effect of competative trading.

 Wankers!

Festa.
