My only claim to fame and far and away the best recipe i have developed (with a lot of help) is my clone of Kooinda Black IPA,

81.23% Pale Ale Malt
5.05% Wheat Malt
3.91% Crystal 120
3.91% Victory
2.95% Chocolate
2.95% Wheat Malt, Midnight

1.9 g/L Nelson Sauvin (11.5% Alpha) @ 60 Minutes (Boil)
1.4 g/L Nelson Sauvin (11.5% Alpha) @ 10 Minutes (Boil)
1.8 g/L Nelson Sauvin (11.5% Alpha) @ 0 Minutes (Aroma)
2.7 g/L Nelson Sauvin (11.5% Alpha) @ 0 Days (Dry Hop)


Single step Infusion at 66°C for 60 Minutes. Boil for 60 Minutes

Fermented at 20°C with Safale US-05

My favourite Aussie Lager is Cascade Pale Ale, green label. Smooth and easy with none of the VB metallic nastiness. The water is essential - RO if possible then add some sulphates, half teaspoon of each.

The original recipe was emailed by an unfortunate lady at Cascade to one of our members a few years ago, can't seem to find it. She felt free to give out the details as, obviously, it would be way beyond the capabilities of home brewers and we should really use their kits. :D I have replaced sugar with maltose syrup as I know that CUB use some of it in some recipes, I think Carlton Mid maybe? which I found on a CUB Pdf last year but lost it due to system crash.
