I am looking for some help of a fellow brewer in Adelaide that is a fridgie. I have a bit of a problem with my chesty. Was working fine, then I upped the temp to 20degrees to do a brew. When I set it back to serving temp it only goes to 15degrees. Inside the chesty is some ice build up on one side area, but that is it. The compressor feels very hot.

I have now resorted to ice in a bucket inside my chesty to have cold beer. Problem is my old man is arriving tomorrow for the weekend, and I have 4 kegs of beer needing to be cooled and drunk. Ice buckets suck but will do in the mean time.

If anyone can help that would be awesome.

Cheers.

I'm not a fridgie, but is it worth defrosting, to removed the ice? It may be causing issues with temperature regulation?

Plus its mighty hot here in Adelaide. Could also be an issue.

I hope it gets sorted, can't have you drinking warm beer!
