Unhopped Dried Spray Malt, What Is It?

Is this the same as DME, or something altogether different? It is almost twice the price of DME at my LHBS.

Standard LDME is about $12 for 1kg
The Light Unhopped Dried Spray Malt 500g is about $11

If they are used for the same purpose, would different concentrations be used?

they are both dry malt extract, you might find the cheaper one is a generic brand like bintani, which is not specifically made for brewing afaik. The expensive one may be something like Briess dme

It's exactly the same thing as DME. "Dry spray malt" is simply referring to the process by which DME is made. Wort is made, condensed then sprayed in a fine mist in a very dry / hot chamber which evaporates the remaining water and leaves you with the dry malt extract.
