Tangent, are enjoying a particularly strong Imperial IPA by any chance? ;)

I proposed to my girlfriend of 6 years on Sunday and got a yes, so I'll accept the toast if there aren't any takers....

Sorry for the hijack Tange...!

Well, at least it's one "gourmet" food I'm not going to get all jealous over and want to spend hundreds on equipment to make it :)

Thanks tangent! B)

I was always told as a kid that the burnt bits are good for your blood.

Not another wool-over-the-kids-eyes moment was it?

exactly adamt
dinner of champions
just as fancy as sausages IMO

I like my toast with a bit of butter (dairy soft)

then either crunchy peanut butter, cream cheese golden syrup or a nice blueberry jam

made a nice toast concoction on the weekend

topped with freshly blanched fresh asparagus, chopped mushroons and chopped semi sun dried tomatoes.
sprinkled with parmisan and mozzerella and grilled

yum

cheers

I like toast too.
And congrats, Bugwan, in the words of one of my friends on finding out that I was gettingmarried (last year). "Good luck with the wedding. And remember - one day it really WILL matter just what colour the f*cking napkins are". Its a fun day, but it goes quick, you wont get enough time to spend with any one guest, and you will probably remember very little. Just to keep it on topic - TOAST :beerbang:

Toast is awesome in it's right place. Depends on the bread as well.

Love sliced toasted tin loaf in the morning with vegemite.

Late at night toasted sliced ciabbatta smothered in olive oil is yummy as well.

cheers

it took me 7 years to propose to my girlfriend/fiancee in last september. Cant stop arguing about the wedding, even if it is only me arguing with my fiancees old man that i want to drink good beer on our wedding day instead of tooheys and vb.

he just dont understand that im not going to drink **** on my wedding day even if i have to stash some beers in someones car and keep leaving to sneak some in.

Id be happy with a backyard wedding at my house but we wouldnt fit everyone in.

ah enough allready,

congrats bugwan!

have a piece of toast with some vedgemite and peanut butter mixed :beerbang:

cheers kingy

Cape Seed Loaf with butter, ham, cheese and tomato.

Plain white Pipe Loaf with cholesterol-lowering margarine, English mustard, whole-egg mayonnaise and fried mushrooms. Cheese optional.

Thanks gents. I normally just have toast with butter. Not marg, just plain old, melted butter. It's served me well over the years...

I proposed to my girlfriend 21 years ago and god damn it's gone by fast and FUN - got married 20 years ago started homebrewing and never looked back. Gave up argueing with the in laws - who cares I won anyway I got the girl! She bought me the home brew kit and had the babies....does it get any better than that?

As for toast....I've been paid to say toast with flora pro active actually lowers your cholesterol absorbtion.... :D

I have it every day with sugar free jam! Turn the toaster down a touch!

Toasted sourdough with some Virgin Manzanillo/Verdale blend and a REAL aged thick syrupy Balsamico for dipping. And beer of course, wine's pretty good also.

i'm with you Screwy, sourdough rye with caraway seeds. Speck, cheddar cheese, pickled chillis and eggs with a huge glass of hefeweizen.
