As part of the "resurrection" of my brewery (heretofore named "The Phoenix Brewery"), I've embarked on a project to create the perfect space for the creation & enjoyment of craft beer in a relaxed, countrified environment, involving beer & burning things in large quantities.

SWMBO is under the misapprehension that I'm actually clearing our country block in order to build her dream home, but I've got her well & truly fooled there! ...it's all about the beer.... B)

Let's start with judicious application of boy's toys....

Now....where to put the tank....?

Of COURSE, I'm going to need a supply of clean brewing water, & what could be better than tank water? No minerals to compete with?

And of course, somewhere to grow hops.....(SWMBO is unknowingly involved in my cunning plan....heh..heh....).

22500L tank space cleared by hand, small chainsaw & mattock...

And now....for the SERIOUS boy's toys...122cc Stihl chainsaw with a 30" bar. This thing is a ******* BEAST!!

30 Ton log splitter required..

I have a lot of wood to get-through:

..all in the interests of keeping my guests warm, of course.....!

But the splitter makes short work of even 500mm x 400mm logs.

I'm a very happy pyromaniac.....

Yob would be horrified to think that I was burning wood to keep warm (******* hippy!)..

Looking good Martin, and thats a handy looking Chainsaw. I have a big husky equivalent but rarely use it, maybe once a year. The 031 stihl gets a fair workout every coupla days, and I find it a handy beast.

Also have the same water tanks, but i cheated and cleared with tractor :D

.... I really need a log splitter

That chainsaw should be called "hippies delight"! Nice work mate
