Hey guys, any thoughts on this recipe?

1 x Coopers Mexican cerveza kit
1kg x LDME
500g x Dextrose
15g x Saaz hops @ 10min
15g x Saaz hops @ flameout

I've also got some Supa Alpha hops if you've got any ideas.

:icon_offtopic: I have a serious case of deja vu.

Hang on, I reiterate what manticle said. I will add though that if you are not confident doing a lager then use US05 and ferement at 18oC. Being the Cervesa kit it won't be bitter and you should get a good handle on what the Saaz hop will bring to your brews.

Never used hops before Von, can you tell me what Saaz will bring to my brew?

I keep something similar bottled for people that don't like my pale ales and IPAs, except I just use a Cervesa can (really doesn't matter which brand), 1kg LDME and 15g Saphir dry hopped, goes down a treat with the "I don't like dark beer" crowd, I'm pretty fond of it myself on occasion too.

Do you use hop pellets, if so do you just chuck em in loose?

Yeah, I just use pellets and chuck them in loose, leave for 2-3 days, crash chill for 2-3 days at 4-6 degrees then bottle, it's always a winner, I think Sazz would go very nicely too.

Edit - Should mention that this is all done after fermentation is complete.

Your hop schedule will give you both flavor and aroma

Sadly this batch is gone, it was a F-N beauty, will definitely be doing this one again but I think I will up the malt, drop some of the dex and dry hop.

Malty Mexican.. I don't know about the recipe. But the name is pure gold.
