A TOAST TO MICHAEL JACKSON
Regional Wines has just erected a massive singed tribute to renowned English beer writer Michael Jackson.
A portrait of Michael, 2.4 metres by 2.4 metres and made entirely of of 4,225 pieces of cocktail toast, now decorates a huge wall in our Basin reserve store in Wellington. Made by The Toastman Maurice Bennett [check out his great website], this portrait joins the likes of Elvis, Dame Edna and many others in Maurices portfolio. He is in line for inclusion in the Guinness Book of Records 2004 for the Dame Edna art piece, made from full sized Wonder White sliced bread and adorning a high rise on Latrobe St in Melbourne, Australia.
