After a lay off from brewing due to a hectic work schedule i knocked up a bright ale style keg and noticed that filthy plasticy aftertaste. on reflection i recalled using town water and immediately put it down to this. BUT, could it be that i left my fermenters soaking for months with unscented nappy san? could this have managed to get so far into the walls that they are now stuffed, i did rinse them as well i thought needed before transferring wort.
Any thoughts appreciated, i know i could just go buy some newies but im quite attached to the old ones
