I haven't met one here, but I saw an article in the local newspaper several years ago about one of these guys who visited my town.

He was a carpenter.

From my memory, he was mid-twenties, told to go out and expand his knowledge of the trade. He was given some contacts in Australia, so he elected to come here.

I don't recall if the "uniform" was mentioned.

Brewers should do the same.
 
I have seen these young guys dressed in their corduroy suits from time to time around Sydney. At first I thought they belonged to some weird church. Then I saw a program on TV about these journeymen. Sounds like a good idea: get out and see the world before settling down. I might try it one of these years. :p

yeah, especialy for professional Brewers it would be a good idea too, to tour the world and collect knowledge.

fortunately these days we have the Internet and can exchange knowledge within seconds around the world.
