The Mercury has a story today about the upcoming Hobart Beerfest and talks about two local home brewers. funny that it still amazes me how big this hobby is in australia generally, and tassie in particular. so many members here on ahb, but its even bigger than that.

so if you guys are here, or anyone know them, give em a pat on the back for helping give home brewing some good exposure. and good luck with that pilsner. oddly enough, i was just sipping on one of my own

And a couple of nice blokes they are too! I met them at Cascade in February this year. They were both running brewery tours. Looks like Nick needs a haircut since I saw him. Good luck to ya boys.

hmm, the home brew comp may also be a shot at a promotion for them?? cascade just had some new equipment installed.

"The Southern Tasmanian brewery will soon produce French beer Kronenbourg 1664 and Australian brewer Matilda Bay's Beez Neez, Bohemian Pilsner and Redback range."
