Cheers Blue Dog. That could explain why I get the squits occasionally after a food court meal in Chinatown. The main meal is always hot straight from the wok, but the rice in its own bowl is definitely cooler than 65C when it's served. Hmmm, stir-fried noodle dishes and soups only from now on!
 
Makes since for eating but wouldnt the bactearia die in the boil when useing it for cooking?

No excuse for that! They're always on sale, and worth their weight in gold. Most will even steam veggies on the top section too.
