Replacing deformed plastic gas dip tubes

I just discovered that one of my kegs was leaking at the gas in post and lost most of a 6kg cylinder.

I should have realised when the beer was loosing carb. Live and learn.

After spraying a bunch of foamy starsan on the tip of the keg to find the leak I removed the post and noticed the top of the plastic dip tube was deformed preventing the o-ring from making a good seal.

Standard stainless dip tubes don't fit in the hole as its a bit narrower. I know you can drill them out to 5/16 or 8mm and replace them with standard corny ones but was wondering what peoples opinions are on this.

Is it worth drilling them or is there a local supplier of replacement dip tubes?

Used cornies. It's only the gas dip tube that is different.

About half of my kegs have them. Pretty sure some of them are from Keg Land.

From my research I think they are the firestone kegs. Its a common issue apparently. I can find replacement dip tubes overseas but not locally.

Well how about that! Are the Firestone ones the ones with full circle handles?
Luckily all mine are the common type with steel dip tubes even though they've come from many different sources.

easykegging.com.au have Firestone parts but they show a steel gas dip tube. Guess it's for a different type than yours.

Well at least they'll match your other kegs if you do.
Make sure not to drill those holes too big though
