12 hours soaking sodium percarbonate, 24 hours soaking in sodium metabi, i figure my fermenter is either clean ready to go back to work after its recent spate of infections, or its catatonic. Either way its getting one last test to find out.
It was going to be named tightarse lager, but in the end I estimate it cost me over $10 to put the batch on, so i reserve that name for a later date.
1.7kg farmland lager ($7.95 on special)
500g ldme
500g dex
2 x cascade bohemian lager yeast 7g sachet
8g golden cluster @ 30 mins
8g golden cluster @ 5 mins
This was supposed to be a brew that i wouldnt cry over if it too got infected, the cheapest lager in the supermarket was specially selected, everything else from stock.
Last time i used the cascade yeast the beer was sweet and flat, perhaps it was the yeast, perhaps not.
The hops was a spur of the moment decision, as I was planning to do a boil anyway might as well throw in some hops i had sitting around for just this sort of thing. LDME cos if this beer does work out then ill be the one drinking it.
Looks a lot like a carlton draught clone recipe from a previous thread.
Fingers crossed, its been over a month since I bottled anything, im missing my regular production and I want to get my (remission) belgian ale on and going.
