Howdy brewers. Im trying to copy a clone recipe for a Red rye IPA. I know it uses Red X, Dark crystal, Munich and Rye. It has an EBC of 58.
This is what Ive come up with so far. I cant seem to get close to the EBC of 58 however. Any suggestions on the %s of the grain?

It must be wrong.

The only thing that would make it that dark is 35% crystal, 45% red x and 10% munich and 10% rye.

65% red, 10% each rye, crystal and munich, and 5% black malt would get you there.

Ive gone with 80% Red X, 10% Munich, 7% Rye and 3% crystal. EBC is 29.5 but that will do and Im not that fussed if it isn't as dark. I find my beers are always darker than what Beersmith says anyway.
