I couldn't do that to Pamela though the thought did cross my mind the other week when I had to dispatch a young rooster in our charge.... roosters being not allowed in our backyard in the 'burbs. He ended up making a good soup and stock that should see me out for the rest of the year.
 
Dunno, first time I've done it. Probably not much considering my wife is a vegetarian....!
