Heads up to any adjuncters in Brisbane, picked up a few repacks of polenta today from Geeta Enterprises - the Indian grocers in the McDonalds Arcade in Fortitude Valley - $2.50 a kilo, about half the cost of the supermarket variety. It's on the back wall with the lentils and dahls.

I can feel a mofo malt liquor comin' on

:icon_cheers:

Awesome price that Bribie. For an adjunct... ;)

Yup the problem with adjuncts nowadays is that they cost more than the frign malt  - I tend to think of them as not so much an adjunct but a luxury enhancer

Anyone wanna go for a sucrose bulk buy from CSR? :D Start with a tonne.

Tip truck backing up... beep beep beep

Participants in bulk buy please bring shovel, wheelbarrow etc.
I feel quite guilty, I actually raided my brewery to make buttered polenta with parmesan so I was looking to replace, and came across the repacks when I was stocking up on dahl, methi, tikka paste etc etc today.

I cant find that gelatinised cryovac stuff you had at your brewday. Tried Safeway/Woolies,Coles/Bi-Lo... no good.
The stuff I did buy, a cereal mash with some base as you suggested ended up spot on, no mash potato consistency.

good one - yes the "regular" polenta just requires a longer boil. Broo day Broo is in CC now and I'll keg on Monday :icon_cheers:
