One for all the patient carbonaters........When you set your keg to desired pressure to acheive your prefered level of carbonation......How long does it take to get there????
sometimes i let it 'secondary' in the keg for a week or two at ambient temp...
most of the time it goes straight into the keg fridge and hooked up to 10psi. i find 5 ish days is drinkable (fizz wise) but it's best to leave for 7 days or longer if you can...
to answer the question 7 days at 10psi for me (from ambient or from cold)
After the fermenters are crash chilled for a couple of days, I keg the beer at 10psi. I don't normally check them for 7 days, but by then they are ready for use.
4-5 days for me, doesn't make SFA difference if the keg is chilled before hand or while carbing. If you fill the keg up too much it can take a little longer to carb, I've no idea why, but this is my experiences with the issue
