I've spent a lot on beers at various dodgey venues but the cheapest was at Cebu last year at a place called Ratski's. From 1pm to 6pm all the pizza you could eat and all the cold San Mig Pale Pils :) you could drink = P150 or $3.80 Australian. As soon as the mug was empty someone was filling it up - we can't brew that cheap!

How about AUD$15 for a 50mL glass of beer? ;)

I've paid that... :D
Dont regret it though, lifes too short to worry about things like that..
lifes all about choices and this thread is just highlighting that there is plenty to be made.
Enjoy

The prices on this reciept are reasonable but the description is priceless !!
:p

That's the funniest fkn thing I've seen all week.

I detest pubs ( and restaurants for that matter) sometimes I think life would be more enjoyable if I'd never worked in hospo and had no idea how much things actually cost. I reckon the biggest culprit on the beer prices in Aus would have to be the $20/hr plus the bar people tend to get paid for standing there pouring beer. Bites when qualified chefs in the kitchen out the back are getting less $$$ for the priviledge of working in a back room, not getting to see any skirt, and having spent a few years completing an apprenticeship to be able to do it.....ahhh...the joys of having some 'passion' (read 'insanity') for your career eh......
