Yep, I grew up in West Ballina (just near the trawler harbour)
My mum still lives there and I've been trying to convince her for years to get out, getting called a white dog c*** and a land thief, despite being accepted by the elders as a member of the local tribe is getting a bit old...

Yamba's a great place Dave, the blue pools are excellent after the high tides clean them out in summer
I proposed to the Mrs there many moons ago, so it's alright by me :D

Iluka is really nice, got a nice sheltered bay for the kids to swim in, that just happens to be right in front of the pub. And the Fishing Co-op is pretty damn good to.

Yamba...mmm...get back to you on that ...

Not hearing much love for Yamba or Iluka..

I like Iluka cos I can drive straight onto it. Saves lugging children and an esky over scorching sand.

I like Yamba (Pippi beach) cos one day I saw a ladies ****s.
luv Iluka nice little town and not too far to a big one when you need it, might one day leave this nice little place I live in and become a resident of Woombah just up the road

...Worse than trying to stroll along Russell street in Melbourne.
When was the last time you got offered a deal on Russell St? Doesn't even happen in Footscray these days (though I don't think you'd need to look far).

I like it when that happens Dave :). I love illuka too. We went there on my big long service camper trailer trip 4 years ago. Never forget the gigantic servings of calamari at the beautiful old pub for 8 odd bucks. Fantastic spot.

Yeah sure ill be a geriatric one day, but that doesn't mean i want to live or spend my vacations anywhere near a large congregation of them while Im in my thirties. Or forties & fifties for that matter. Time
With my folks is time enough.

I hear its pissing rain up there at the moment and theres a warning out for flooding at the northern rivers.
Hope it clears up by Christmas time. I don't want my holidays ruined.

It is raining. But we need it.

I think it should stop by about the 21st of December.

50-100mm of rain on the day I decide to get new tyres on my bike...
Looks like I'll be backing it in on every corner on the way home this afternoon

I remember a time when my motorcycle was the sole form of transport.
Ah, those were the cold, wet, miserable days..

I used to really love ridding in hail storms...just couldnt get enough of that hail

Yeah, I think I'll be sticking to the highway doing around 40 all the way home
Hopefully the concrete surface on the highway will plenty grippy
