just recieved my new corny kegs and am wondering about the best way of serving two differnet styles of beer.
I have a SN pale ale clone and a Hoegarden clone already to keg, obviously the carb levels of these two syles of beer are different so i am wondering how best to bodge the dispensing of the two.
My set up consists of a reg, tubbing with splitter mid line 2 kegs and one quick disconnect tap.
I have opted for this setup as i actually plan to run a bitter and a mild usually (similar carbonation levels) but have the pale ale and wheat beer at the mo.
I do not plan to dispense at the same time (for the pale ale and wheat) so am wondering if i can get away with the following.
Remove splitter and force carb wheat beer to rqd carb levels using a gassing table.
Remove keg from line and repeat with pale ale.
When wanting to serve one, release pressure and use dispensing pressure. When finished drinking ramp pressure back up to recarb beer, and remove.

Would this work? or am i inviting disaster?

Thanks

Once a keg is carbonated, lower pressure for serving, and leave

Only six months experience with Kegging myself, but have found it best to force carb to the required carbing pressure, disconnect gas leave for 24 hrs then purge and connect gas at serving pressure. For different keg serving pressures, when pouring from the respective keg adjust serving pressure to suit. Adjust up on the reg for higher serving pressure or lower by a turn or two on the reg then purge a bit to lower serving pressure, can purge from either keg if you have gas line tee'd. You'll soon get the hang of it.
