Howdy folks,

Well I'm preparing to mount a 3 tier font to my chest freezer lid and don't want it to be wobbly from the lid flexing when I pull on the taps.

How did you go about reinforcing yours?

My only plan so far is to remove the lid lining and place a sheet of marine ply directly against the underside of the lid, with a coach bolt at each corner to secure it (coach bolts to keep it looking neat on top) and obviously sandwiched by the font in the centre.

I know my idea will work, just wondering how others have tackled this problem.

Has your font got a drip tray like this

If so, not a problem

I've got the same sort of drip tray here as well.
Will one day put on full timber top.

As yet have no movement.

Well, turned out to be ok as the foam in the lid is really dense and the plastic lining much thicker than I imagined it would be, plus I made the hole a very tight fit.

Wobbles a tiny bit if you grab hold of it and shove it around, but pouring, no problem at all :beerbang:
