Have been having this problem - the stopper I got for my flask has steep
side angle which makes it not want to stay plugged in the flask. Suggested
I not get the shallower angle one which can be very hard to unplug from the
flask.

But anyway ... my trick to keeping plug it ... cut a strip of cling wrap a couple
of inches long and fold two or three times in a square that will cover the stopper
and reach down over the flask neck. Then push the stopper in decent way, wrap
the cling wrap over and pull tightly down and tie a rubber or two around the neck
of the flask to keep the stopper in place. Add another strip of cling wrap if not
strong enough.

Your stopper probably has a hole for fitting an air lock? Well punch a small hole
in the encovering cling wrap adn force the airlock stem through it and ... tahdah!!!
