Hi all - long time reader, first time poster (I think).

I did my first k&k at the start of the year. At the moment I have a 38L all grain double batch fermenting, it tastes pretty good already :)

Most recipes are for ~20L batches. I'm wondering what I need to do to double the volume of a recipe? Somehow I doubt it is as easy as doubling everything...

Thanks for any help

I can almost guarantee if you double a 20L batch's ingredients for a 40L batch, you won't be able to tell them apart. (Edit: On a glass by glass basis, smartasses, I know what you were gonna say! :) )

Brilliant stuff moving from K&K to AG within a year :)

Hey guys, thanks for the replies.

I just started using beersmith, but i don't know too much about it - haven't explored much yet. I will have to have a closer look - does it have volume scaling? Otherwise I'll just start guessing and checking, which I am more than happy to do!

I think I did about 3 K&K, then a few partials, then all grain :)

beersmith has EVERYTHING scaling.
Having said that, Im pretty sure if you increase everything incrementally, you make the same product.
