Hi all,

Just wondering if there is any probs transporting full gassed kegs? I am driving for over an hour to get to an afl grand final bbq, hoping to take my kegs and get them there unscathed.............any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Stick them on the floor behind the front passenger seat.

Roll the seat back so it pushes hard on them and sandwiches the kegs between the front and back seats.

Fingerlickin, that is exactly what I do as well. It works really well and the kegs don't move at all. Although the kids generally object a bit about the cramped conditions. If the kegs move around too much while in transit I have problems with lots of excess foaming. I drove to Toowoomba last xmas and my wife had one of my kegs between her legs in the front seat and the keg would move around a bit. It was a nightmare trying to pour for a while. I guess its a bit like shaking up a can of beer or softdrink and then opening it. Keep them as stable as possible.

Cheers

The only thing I would add is when you have arrived at your destination & are set up, purge the relief value on your keg fully & then set your reg to your dispensing pressure & share the goodness.

Cheers guys,

I was hoping the foaming prob could be solved, what if i floated them in water, i have a ute so i can do this, so as to stop the vibrations?? or is it really not necessary?
