Hi,

I just realised I probably added to much water to my kit.

I actually used 23 Litres of water instead of adding the kit then topping up the fermenter with water to the 23L "mark". Technically the concentrate and sugar take up a bit of volume.

When adding the water I presume you don't actually use 23L, but instead fill up to the 23L "mark" on the fermenter, is this correct?

Will my beer still taste ok?

thanks

So I'm geussing you've filled it up to around the 24-25L mark instead of the 23? Personally I only fill to 22L as I find that will fill 30 longnecks with headspace. You'll most likely get a beer around midstrength [3.5-4%] instead of the desired full strengh brew. You could always add another 250g LDME to the batch and that should revive it. Just make sure you give it a boil in a litre of water and then allow it to cool [with the lid on!] before adding to the fermenter.

Cheers - boingk
