How do you install these clamps?

I got some of these s/steel hose clamps, but I need guidance in using them! Obviously they're a once-only device (ie - not reusable) but which part/parts do you squeeze to tighten them onto the hose?

Would really appreciate any help here - thanks.

the plyers down the bottom. I've gotten away with side cutters before they just don't do as good a job.

Yeah, I've got a feeling that you pinch either side of the flat, but just not sure, and don't want to stuff them - I only bought 4.

Beaten, just taking a pic of mine, but they dont have that odd cut-away in the middle like the above one!

I have a dusty old pair of things I used for pulling nails out of a masonite floor underlay. So I just squeeze....?

Yep that's it.

Yep. They should do the trick. You can use pliers but even pressure across the clamp works best.
