Hop rhizomes

Looking to grow hops in Toowoomba area but unsure of anywhere that sells them in the area or if I'd have to get some offline? And what I would expect to pay for them.

Also can I grow them in pots?

You can usually expect to pay between free and $20 depending on the size.

Ebay is still a few around although due to the time of year most hops are on the go already so the supply would be thinning out.

and yes you can grow in pots but in the ground will yield a better harvest.

Hmm free sounds good. What time of the year is good to buy. I had a quick google but I think I was on an American site

Over the last couple of months would have been great.

occasionally you see some give aways on here but usually it's around $10 plus shipping from blokes on here.
If you are keen to get some growing this season I would bite the bullet and quickly buy some off ebay and pot them up, you won't get great results but you will then have them and next year they should go off.

Or ask around to see if anyone local to you would be willing to allow you to take a cutting.
