Hand-pumped Ales @ The Nags Head Hotel 06/06/07

Friday July 6th is the first Friday of the month, so as usual Matt Donellan of St.Peter's Brewery will have his cask conditioned ales on the hand-pump at The Nag's Head Hotel in Glebe. This time around it will be X-Mass in July @ The Nag's so there will be a spiced Christmas Pudding Stout on the hand-pump along with the new Killagh Stout on tap. The 3rd beer will be the Dalmatia Ale?!?!?
It was great to see some new faces turn up last month, so if they all turn up again & bring a friend we will have the place packed in no time!
The beers start pouring from 5.30pm until the casks run out.
As usual the St.Peters Blonde is still on tap at The Nag's 7 days a week. Plenty of good beer chat to be had.

The Nags Head Hotel. 162 St Johns Road Glebe.

*The Killagh Stout will soon be available in 640ml bottles as will the Cinnamon Girl Spiced Ale.

see you there

So what's this "dalmatia ale"? Any clues at all? I'm not usually a huge stout fan as a rule, so this dalmatia beer could be the make or break for me... :chug:

Maybe it's an altbier - Could be a mix of a Pilsner/lager and a Bock? ;)

Could be a bit ruff.

A change to the batting order
Dalmatia Ale is gone, in it's place will be Matt's Canadian Ale. I don't think this beer has been at the Nag's for a while, so it will be fun to see how it goes. I had a taste of the X-Mass Pudding this arvo & it is coming along nicely.

Gerard,

I'm keen to venture in from the highlands one night for some ales, but Canadian Ale?

No Labatts Blue I hope

It is a pretty nice Amber styled ale, great on a cold night. I reckon a Maxi-taxi back to the Bull & Bush would get a few of the Hill's Brewer's interested!?!? Phrak? MVZ? Doc? Thommo? Jazza? Jase?

Cheers

I've got a mamoth night on the Thursday to celebrate the finish of this 10 month project I've been leading, then I leave the country on Saturday, so I'm not going to get a leave pass for Friday :p

There was a time when a big night out on a Thursday would include the friday night as well. This is obviously a sign that you are getting old, not as old as "Grey-beard" Wadey, but still not good. :p
cheers

Gerard,

What order will the beers be in?

Bumped for those that still have Brownie points, or don't need them.
Cheers

I'll pop down tonight Gerard, I work up the road in Ultimo but always seemed to have something else on but tonight there are no excuses, so I'll see you there.

Enjoy
