Morning,

I was in a hurry the other day and accidently picked up a SAFBrew T-58 instead of US-05 (yeah, pink vs red).

Does anyone have a K&B or extract recipe that I can use this in? What sort of beer is it appropriate for?

Cheers

and I misspelt yeast... sigh

From the craftbrewer website it says belgian and strong british ales.

I cant help you with a proven recipe but,

From a K & K perspective it would be easy to do a strong english ale by starting with a coopers real ale, steep a bit of medium/dark crystal add a fair wack of dried malt to up ther SG and add some good english hop eg fuggles EKG etc to up the bitterness to suit.
OR, just brew the real ale with the yeast to see how it goes.

Cheers

It will probably give you a strong "spicy, phenolic" character - I'd use it on a Lager kit plus bits (Brew Enhancer 2 plus 30g saaz boiled for 10 mins) and pretend you are at the Belgian Beer Cafe.

The one brew I made with this yeast was fantastic for the first few weeks but as it dried out and aged it started tasting like trough lollies  - well to my taste anyway - so best drink young.
