Anything Monty Python is good with a beer...

"We want................. a Shrubbery"

[Damatic chord!]

Gets me every time...

Ford Fairlane.... One of the best films I have ever seen.....

Andrew Dice Clay is one of the best adult comedians going around.

"You dont think we'd kill a fu**ing koala bear now, did ya"

"But Ford, we just wanted to be held"
"Well you got the delux version baby"

Some of the best one liners come out of that film.

Also most Adam Sandler films are good...
"The price is wrong Bitch"

"and he will rise forht weilding a nine bladed sword, not 2 or 3 or 5, but 9!"

Centurion: What's this, then? "Romanes eunt domus"? People called Romanes, they go, the house?
Brian: It says, "Romans go home. "
Centurion: No it doesn't ! What's the latin for "Roman"? Come on, come on !
Brian: Er, "Romanus" !
Centurion: Vocative plural of "Romanus" is?
Brian: Er, er, "Romani" !
Centurion: [Writes "Romani" over Brian's graffiti] "Eunt"? What is "eunt"? Conjugate the verb, "to go" !
Brian: Er, "Ire". Er, "eo", "is", "it", "imus", "itis", "eunt".
Centurion: So, "eunt" is...?
Brian: Third person plural present indicative, "they go".
Centurion: But, "Romans, go home" is an order. So you must use...?
[He twists Brian's ear]
Brian: Aaagh ! The imperative !
Centurion: Which is...?
Brian: Aaaagh ! Er, er, "i" !
Centurion: How many Romans?
Brian: Aaaaagh ! Plural, plural, er, "ite" !
Centurion: [Writes "ite"] "Domus"? Nominative? "Go home" is motion towards, isn't it?
Brian: Dative !
[the Centurion holds a sword to his throat]
Brian: Aaagh ! Not the dative, not the dative ! Er, er, accusative, "Domum" !
Centurion: But "Domus" takes the locative, which is...?
Brian: Er, "Domum" !
Centurion: [Writes "Domum"] Understand? Now, write it out a hundred times.
Brian: Yes sir. Thank you, sir. Hail Caesar, sir.
Centurion: Hail Caesar ! And if it's not done by sunrise, I'll cut your balls off.

Coppied and pasted the above as i wasn't bothered writing/couldn't remember it all

love that movie

Managed to watch In Bruges night before last.

Cracked me up a couple of times.

"poofy Belgian Beers"

A very beer related movie, two thumbs up!

Also funny is simon pegg's tv series before that movie "Spaced". All time favourite for a few ales and a good laugh. Clever pop culture references all through the two series.

I love Lebowski and all Cohen Brother films, and for anyone who dreams of not turning up to work tomorrow "Office Space" is hilarious.

Bowie (in space)

Agree Bowie. Just finished Spaced a month ago. Fantastic. Definitly ale material. Shame there are so few episodes.

cheers
Andrew.

The Mighty Boosh - some would say it's more fun under the influence of another substance, but it's classic stuff.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia - Pure gold.

Black Books - Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey never cease to crack me up

Bernard: "Everyone know's wine doesn't actually have a taste"

Manny: "That's because you smoke a bijillion cigarettes a day! What's that you're eating?"

Bernard: "It's some type of delicious biscuit"

Manny: "It's a coaster"

In terms of movies Supertroopers (littering and...) and Withnail & I are classics as well

Withnail: "What's in your toolbox?"

I: "Nothing"

Withnail: "Liar. You've got antifreeze"

I: "You fool, you know you should never mix your drinks!"

Spinal Tap with the commentary on, all done by the three main actors in character. Just brilliant.

When I'm well into my second PET I love to put on something really monumental and inspirational like "Seven wonders of the Industrial world - the Hoover Dam is my favourite"

I was thinking about this thread while on the train in the city today, has anyone ever seen or heard of a similar sort of thing, but for the Sydney railway tunnels???

I watched an episode of "Building Australia" the other week about the bridge, but nothing on the maze of tunnels dug under the city.

If you like spinal tap look out for the comedy strip presents badnews. The live bottom gigs on dvd are pretty good drinking with mates too.
