Grrr trust the night I put this in the fermenter the temp controller on my fermenting fridge kicked the bucket for some reason. Woke up to a hot ferment...29 degs!!
Quickly whipped the temp controller off my kegerator and fridge is now cooling...fingers crossed the yeast haven't gotten too far through the ferment over night.
No idea why the temp controller failed, I checked the fuse in it and it was broken but I am not sure if this was because of me removing it as it is glass and when I put the replacement in turned it on it was a no go, removed fuse and same story, glass broken yet the filament (?) on the inside looked fine....will have to get some more fuses tomorrow and check it out. I really hope the controller is not fried for some strange reason. Has worked flawlessly for the 6 months or so since I put it together.

sucks bad!
What temp controller do u have?
rendo
Well its finally in the keg and on tap.
Ended up being:
1 x homebrand Draught can of goo
1kg x LDME
0.2kg x Dex
16gms x Amarillo - 10mins
9gms x Hallertau - 10 mins
US-05
20gms x Amarillo - dry hop in secondary
Taste - Ok. Clearly tastes too young. Nose is quick fruit driven, pineapple? and a bit of yeasty characters. Palate is medium bodied which is good. At the moment I would say the beer tastes too young, really reminds me of the Smurto's G.A's I have made and when young they are so so, let it sit in the keg for a few weeks and yum.
Anyway I didn't die...well not yet and shall report back how this beer travels over the next few weeks. Now that the fermenter is empty time to brew the last beer in Adelaide before I head back to the Hunter at xmas.
Cheers, Pok
