So, all you brewers out there...what do you do when you only have one fermenter - in use - and you're getting restless to do something brewing related? Short of getting another fermenter (which is arriving on Sunday) that is.

I've read every post in this forum (well, almost). I've scoured the interweb for tips and inspiration, which seems to only fuel my brewing restlessness and now I'm just sitting here watching my little airlock bubbling away.

<tangent>I'm thinking I shouldn't have put so much fermentables in there because it's been a week now and the little darling is still going as strong as when I first started it...I did a gravity test and it's already down to 1020 (from 1094)...that's 10% abv by my calculations....yipes.</tangent>

So...what do you kids do? You all probably have other lives, 'eh?

If only I could. I only bottled them a week ago (this is my second batch since taking up the hobby again).

Mebbe I'll come 'round and help you drink yours :)

Put a couple of "Oztops" on, water my hops plants, watch them grow, drink beer, read brewing books and BYO mags, design recipes, update my recipe book, look at my half build AG brewery think of what i will do to it next, drink beer, clean the keg fridge beer lines etc, look at my taipan font and wish i had a chest freezer and to mount it on, make a starter and read this forum.... thats all i can think of now but im sure theres plenty more brewing related things to do.....

At the risk of sounding stoopid - I'm guessing these aren't clothing...what are Oztops?

Generally vent my frustration by going and shooting some clay targets :D

Or go and do some retail therapy... by that I mean going and buying more cool gadgets and things to brew with.

drink with mates, find out they tried homebrewing and hated it and get there fermenters for the promise of a pint or two. well i would do that just to keep empty bottles around.

He* shoots, he brews! A man after me own heart!

* I'm making an asumption here that the author is in fact male. This does not necessarily mean that I have any preconceived notions that brewing (or shooting) is in any way restricted to men only...

That's exactly how I got my new fermenter (coming on Sunday). I love the way that works!
