Hi Folk

Has anyone had any experience with buying from these guys? They are selling frozen fruit 10kg at a time. No affiliation etc. Or are there better options around?

Sure have.

Their warehouse is just round the corner from me so I go there all the time to pick stuff up. They have 2 business names, their bulk stuff is marketed under Harvestime Australia and the smaller 1kg packs are sold under the Frozberies brand. They don't sell retail thay are mainly a supplier to the catering industry.

They do have a website but it has been down for the last few weeks for a re-write. You can phone in an order and they will deliver (in Sydney). Frozberries

The quality is excellent. So are the prices. i use it all the time for brewing and icecream making.

The guy there can't believe i am using the fruit for beer. I'll be taking him a bottle of my rasberry wit when it is ready. If you guys buy from them make sure you let them know its for brewing. They may give us a brewers discount if we buy enough of it :D

Cheers
Dave

Brilliant, thanks Dave - 1kg batches are even more convenient!

Rasberry Wit was also going to be my first shot at using fruit. I was thinking of starting with 2kg in the secondary - how much do you use in yours?

Cheers mate.

The last batch used 75g/l and is very rasberry. The missus loves it but its too much for me. Next time I'll see what happens if I drop it to 55-60g/l.

I suspect theres a point where adding more fuuit dowsn't add any more flavour. I'm pretty sure 75g/l is past that point.

Cheers
