Hi guys,
I just got home from work and had a look see and a whiff of the fermenter before i have a nap....
Now it smells fishy and not the good fishy. i am think it maybe infected.... I did have a very bad krausen explosion with this brew and i wiped with no rinse sanitiser and poured some in the air lock for good luck. Now it could only be in the airlock but i am not sure if i should lift the lid check to make sure it is not in the brew.
I was thinking would it be wise to check and then rack to a secondary? I have a cube here i used for a lager and i have rinsed and soaked with nappisan. i was going to run boiling hot water through and then transfer.
would that be the best thing to do if i check and its got a pellicle or something going on?
