This a brewcraft recipe for toohey's old but i'm keen to see if anyone has tried it and if i should change the ingredients for others or even some handy hints to make it a nice drop

Morgans Old
Morgans Goldings finishing hops
Premium Ale Yeast - an english style yeast
Brewcraft #15 brew booster.

I have used the goldings before and they gave a nice flavor in a previous dark ale.

Hopefully this will taste better then toohey's old

Haven't tried this recipe, but seeing as you're a porter fan you may like this. (There's no choc malt in it but you won't notice its abscence).

Base:
Dried malt extract 1.2kg,
Amber malt extract 0.9kg,
sugar .55kg,

Spec grains:
crystal .5kg,
Roasted barley .23kg

Hops:
50g Challenger (90 mins),
15g Goldings (15 mins)

Yeast:
Safale S-04 @ 18c

If you haven't already found it, look for Ianh's kit & extract spreadsheet thread on here and you'll be laughing :icon_cheers:

ooo000oo sounds like a good try for my first grain beer

pitched it today at 24 degree's with a SG of 1050....

10 days later and its about 1020 and very very sediment heavy. still fermenting away though
