I'm normally more of a do a bit of research, throw together a recipe, brew the beer sort of guy but I was sitting here sampling another bottle of the QLD Xmas in July swap case and thought, what the hey, let's get some feedback and/or suggestions on the next round of planned brews...

So. Here's my planned recipe for a European sort of lager for drinking come summer.

500g Munich Malt
500g Pilsner Malt
200g Wheat Malt
2.5kg LME
250g Carapils
250g MaltoDextrin
40g Santiam (Noble hops 6%AA) @45
30g Santiam @10
Saflager s34/70

I'll minimash the grains in an infusion type mash for an hour or so.

I also have at my disposal a fair bit of Crystal and smaller amounts of the following...

Chocolate, Dark Crystal, Munich, Pilsner, Wheat

For the real german lager sort of maltiness, go with the German malts, ie. weyermann.
