Hi,

Anybody got any stats on Emersons IPA, or even better a recipe. Its going to be an all grain brew, about 1050, was thinking:

- Maris Otter base
- Bairds Caramalt (~5%)
- Wheat Malt (~2.5%)

Hops; about 40-45 IBU with:
- Target for bittering
- Goldings at 20, 5 and Dry Hop

Yeast; something dry and British, maybe 1318.

Any tips for making this more similar to Emersons would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Sam

looks pretty good to me. i may well be completely wrong but i remember tasting a lot of fuggles in that beer.
maybe try the NZ fuggles or NZ goldings flowers? might give a bit more fruitiness and zing than the UK hops.

1318 is a nice yeast.

It's mostly whole fuggles (NZ)

Yeast strain is 1028 according to a mate that used to work there

Fuggles and 1028. Alright.

Thanks for the input.

Looks good Sam. :beerbang:

Never tried a clone but have tasted the beer. Very nice drop indeed.

I'd stick with your recipe and do what NM and Shunty suggest. Maybe add some NZ Fuggles late in the boil as well.

Let me know if it comes close. Like to try and make one myself.
